Primary Factors to Become Successful: Attitude, Action, and Acceleration

The main factors to become successful in life are right attitude, proper action, and correct amount of acceleration by individuals.

In your experience, what key skills or mindset shifts do individuals need to succeed in personal and professional development?

The most crucial factor for success in both personal and professional settings is attitude. In fact, I refer to it as my 3 A’s formula. The first A represents attitude, and it must be positive. The second A signifies action; to succeed, you must take consistent and purposeful action. The third A stands for acceleration. Once you begin achieving your targets and goals, don’t ease up; instead, press down harder and break all records. If your attitude is right, everything else will follow—skills, techniques, and every other aspect becomes more manageable when you commence with the right attitude.

How do you tailor your coaching and training programs to meet the diverse needs of your clients?

In training and coaching, a one-size-fits-all solution is never viable. It is the responsibility of the coach to initially engage in fact-finding, comprehending the client’s objectives, identifying bottlenecks, and understanding previous attempts to overcome them. Other factors to consider include the client’s short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals, as well as assessing their track record, team size, desired duration, and commercial considerations. This comprehensive understanding forms the basis for tailoring programs to meet the unique needs of our customers.

In the ever-evolving landscape of personal development, what trends do you find particularly impactful or promising?

In recent times, client expectations have shifted from being “taught to you” to “done with you,” and in some cases, even “done for you.” The demand for a higher level of handholding has significantly increased, with video playing a more substantial role than ever before. In-person sessions are also experiencing a resurgence, approaching pre-pandemic levels. AI-related tools are playing a considerable role, and new developments in this space are occurring every week.

On the personal development front, while old favorites like goals and habits remain significant, clients are also seeking to stand out in areas such as podcasting and becoming content creators on popular platforms like YouTube and Instagram.

Your academy emphasizes holistic development. How does this approach contribute to overall success in various aspects of life?

At the GBA, we adhere to a system that involves using the Scaling With GB goal planner with all our institutional clients and their teams. Long-term success is unattainable without focusing on all six areas of life. We concentrate on work, finance, lifestyle, mental well-being, health, and family and relationships. The system assists our clients in staying on track and creating balance in all these crucial areas. Over the past four years of implementing this system with hundreds of clients, we have observed that the most successful individuals are those who adhere to the system.

As a mentor, what challenges do you commonly see individuals facing, and how do you guide them to overcome these obstacles?

The primary challenges being faced revolve around consistency. Clients often begin with great enthusiasm during sessions, but over time, motivation tends to wane. To address this, we employ a combination of the Tiny Habits system and accountability partners to integrate habits into individuals’ routines.

Additional challenges may include overwhelm, shifts in priorities, and a tendency to drop the ball once clients start experiencing some wins. To mitigate these challenges, we utilize a combination of tools, weekly check-ins, and engagement meetings to keep clients on track and ensure success. Once again, the SWGB goal planner plays a vital role in overcoming these challenges.

Looking ahead, what new initiatives or programs can we expect from The Gaurav Bhagat Academy?

There is a significant increase in one-to-one coaching for top executives at companies in India and abroad. This trend is expected to continue and expand in the coming year. Additionally, we are generating a substantial amount of content for our Learning Management System, allowing clients to learn at their own pace. In-person one-day and two-day group workshops have received an overwhelmingly positive response, and we plan to conduct more of these sessions in the future.
