The Climate Project Foundation Signs MoU with EV Cell, Transport, GNCTD

Electric Vehicles are proven to be efficient and cleaner alternatives to fuels that add to pollution and are not from renewable sources. Considering the price upsurge of the fuels, EV adoption in India or the fact of EVs making a foray into the India’s market acts as a strong answer to fuel price hike and how to go about the energy efficient way in the automotive sector. The use of renewable sources can make EVs more eco-friendly option that can not only enhance the air quality and reduce energy consumption but also add to our economy. This is one of the clear-cut reasons why we, at The Climate Project Foundation, encourage everyone to tread the path of clean energy, and one can start with small acts at home, harnessing solar energy like using solar lamps, solar panels, etc.

We take immense pleasure in announcing that The Climate Project Foundation (TCPF) has joined hands with the EV Cell of Department of Transport, Government of NCT Delhi.

On 17th January 2023, both the organizations have signed an MoU with each other to have an alliance that looks forward to a clean energy future.

This association aims at:

  • Generating awareness among citizens about the need for clean mobility transition and initiating local-level action and working with Delhi EV Cell on campaigns to promote EV safety, EV test rides.
  • Preparing and promoting joint reports or independent works done by Delhi EV Cell via online mediums newsletters, undertaking seminars, workshops, conclaves, trainings, meetings, campaigns and conferences in collaborations and partnerships with government and non-government agencies and any other activities for green transport
  • Introducing Delhi EV Cell to the member school/colleges and other networks to help create awareness about the transport issues in general and solution regime and to bring more technical knowledge.

Hopeful about the intended outcomes of this alliance, Aditya Pundir, Direcctor – India & South Asia TCPF expressed, “Delhi is the capital of our country, and a successful EV project here will inspire other cities to follow”.

Bhavesh Swami, Lead – Clean Energy and Engagement, TCPF underlined, “With market dynamics clearly in favour of EVs , we just need all stakeholders , financial institutions to come forward and help accelerate the transport sector towards a zero tail pipe emission”.

Harping on renewables can save the planet from numerous energy mismanagements and climate crisis. The ultimate objective is to co-create a future that is healthy for the planet and the one inhabiting it. This alliance is also a steppingstone to the future of green economy and energy efficiency. The roadmap of EV looks clean, green and growing, and so is the intent behind it.
