CBSE Opens Applications for Central Sector Scholarships: Deadline October 31

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced that online applications are open for the Central Sector Scheme Scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025. College and university students across India are invited to apply via the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in before the deadline of October 31, 2024.

Students are encouraged to complete their applications early to avoid last-minute technical issues or delays. Institutions may require applicants to verify their submissions by presenting original documents. Failure to do so will result in the application being considered invalid.

To apply, students must first complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) on the portal, which will automatically fetch details such as their photograph and demographic data. If any information needs to be updated, it can be corrected through a fresh eKYC process linked to their Aadhaar card. The updated information will then automatically reflect in the scholarship application on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

The CBSE has issued a clear warning regarding the accuracy of information provided in the application. Submitting incorrect or false information could result in immediate rejection of the scholarship application. Students, parents, or legal guardians are also advised to provide active mobile numbers and email addresses for all future communication.

Eligible students are strongly urged to apply early to avoid any complications close to the deadline.
