Deepika Padukone Opens Up About Exam Stress and Mental Well-Being at Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone took a nostalgic trip down memory lane during Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025, revealing her struggles with mathematics and emphasizing the importance of mental well-being for students facing exam stress.

Deepika on Her Childhood Struggles

Speaking at the event, Padukone admitted, “I had a maths issue at school—and still do!” She recalled her younger years as a mischievous child, climbing on sofas and causing playful chaos at home. While discussing exam-related anxiety, she emphasized the need to express emotions rather than suppress them, referencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s book, which advises students to vent their feelings.

Tips for Managing Exam Stress

Addressing students, Padukone encouraged them to develop healthy habits to cope with stress. She shared her personal approach, highlighting the importance of:
✅ Journaling to process emotions
✅ Maintaining a positive mindset during exams
✅ Prioritizing good sleep, hydration, exercise, and meditation

She reassured students, saying, “Stress is normal; it’s a part of life. What’s important is how we react to it. Instead of worrying about things beyond our control, we should focus on what we can change.”

A Strong Advocate for Mental Well-Being

Padukone, who has been vocal about her battle with clinical depression since 2014, continues to advocate for mental health awareness. During Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025, she urged students to prioritize their well-being and seek help when needed.

The event, which features Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direct interaction with students, serves as a platform to discuss exam stress and motivate young minds. Padukone’s candid revelations and practical advice resonated with many, reminding students that even the most successful individuals have faced academic challenges.
