How to manage time Effectivey in the AILET 2025

With just 48 hours to go for the All-India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025, thousands of aspirants across the country are gearing up to compete for a coveted spot at National Law University, Delhi (NLU-D)—one of India’s most prestigious Law Schools. The exam will be conducted on December 8, 2024, across 35 centers nationwide.

For over a decade, LegalEdge has played a crucial role in helping students realize their dreams of joining NLU-D. The institute’s impact has been so profound that the Vice Chancellor of NLU Delhi in 2016 humorously remarked:

“LegalEdge has sent so many students to NLU-D this year, we should think of opening a branch of NLU-D in Bhopal only. It’s as if they had the actual AILET paper with them well in advance!”

AILET 2024 was no different. Over 30 LEtians secured ranks under 100 and are now thriving at NLU-D. Their success reflects LegalEdge’s commitment to delivering the best resources, guidance, and mentorship to its students year after year.

As the clock ticks down to AILET 2025, now is the time to narrow your focus and fine-tune your preparation. Here’s how you can best utilize your time in the exam:

Understand the Exam Structure

The AILET paper consists of three sections:

  • English Language: 50 marks
  • Current Affairs & General Knowledge: 30 marks
  • Logical Reasoning: 70 marks

Each section demands a strategic allocation of time, ensuring you attempt all questions without compromising on accuracy.

Optimized Time Allocation Plan for AILET 2025

English Language (50 Marks)

  • Time Allocation: 40 Minutes
  • Focus Areas: Reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar.
  • Strategy: Aim for approximately 1 minute per question. Prioritize easier questions first and don’t get stuck on any particular question.

Current Affairs & General Knowledge (30 Marks)

  • Time Allocation: 10 Minutes
  • Focus Areas: Static GK, current affairs, legal developments, and important organizations.
  • Strategy: These questions are mostly factual. Spend about 20–25 seconds per question. Speed is crucial in this section.

Logical Reasoning (70 Marks)

  • Time Allocation: 65 Minutes
  • Focus Areas: Principal-fact-based questions, data arrangement, puzzles, and critical reasoning.
  • Strategy: Begin with easier questions to build momentum and confidence. Save time-consuming puzzles or complex reasoning for later.

Buffer Time

  • Time Allocation: 5 Minutes
  • Use this time to review skipped or flagged questions.

Begin with the section you are most confident in to build your rhythm and avoid overthinking. If you’re stuck on a question, move on and return to it later.

We wish all aspirants the very best for AILET 2025.

Remember, it’s not just about speed; it’s about strategy and accuracy.
