IGNOU Launches New Postgraduate Diploma Programs for 2024

IGNOU’s new offerings include postgraduate diplomas in popular areas such as Human Resource Management and Marketing Management. These programs can be integrated into a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specializations in the chosen fields.

How to Register for IGNOU Programs 2024

Here’s a step-by-step guide to registering for the postgraduate diploma programs at IGNOU:

  1. Visit the Registration Portal: Go to the IGNOU admission portal at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
  2. Complete Registration: Fill in your details to create a username and password. You will receive these credentials via SMS and email.
  3. Log In: Use the provided credentials to log in and access the admission form.
  4. Fill Out the Admission Form: Enter the required details in the form.
  5. Upload Documents:
    • Recent passport-size photograph (maximum size 100KB, JPG format).
    • Specimen signature (maximum size 100KB, JPG format).
    • Scanned copies of relevant documents (maximum size 200KB each, JPG/PDF format).
  6. Review and Confirm: Read the instructions and declaration carefully before clicking the ‘Declaration’ box.
  7. Fee Payment: Preview your data, confirm the details, and proceed to make the fee payment using Credit/Debit card or Net Banking. You will receive a payment confirmation via SMS and email.
  8. Finalize and Print: Click the ‘Next’ button to preview the form. After final submission, download and print the filled application form for your records.

Flexible Learning Options

Many of IGNOU’s postgraduate diploma programs offer flexible learning options, including multiple entry and exit points. For instance, students who complete the Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication (PGJMC) can seamlessly transition into a full Master’s degree program in the same field. This diploma acts as a stepping stone or prerequisite for advanced degrees.

Course Duration

The duration of these programs varies, with options for 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or 3 years, depending on the chosen program. Interested candidates can visit the official IGNOU admission portal to explore the complete list of 57 programs offered.
