ISRO Youth Scientist Program 2024: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced that the registration process for the ‘Youth Scientist Program’ for school children will commence from February 20th. In efforts to “make them youthful” and inspire a large number of students towards careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, ISRO has initiated an educational endeavor.
The aim of this initiative is to foster fundamental knowledge and awareness among youth about emerging trends in space technology, space science, and space applications. The deadline to submit applications is March 20th.
In a post on ‘X’, the space agency declared: “Youth Scientist Program (Yuvika) – 2024 is now open for nominations. Students of class 9 studying in India (as of January 1, 2024) are eligible for this program. Apply now. Registration will start from February 20, 2024, at jigyasa.iirs.gov.in/yuvika.”
The agency clarifies, “The objective of this initiative is to encourage more students to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields and to engage in research.”
In case of any discrepancy between the attached certificates and the verification provided by the student, the candidature of the student will be canceled.
