Baahubali The Epic Box Office Collection Day 1: SS Rajamouli’s Film Sets Record Re-Release Opening in India

Baahubali The Epic Box Office Collection Day 1: SS Rajamouli and Prabhas’ legendary franchise has once again proven its dominance at the box office. The re-edited version of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, titled Baahubali The Epic, recorded a massive opening across India.

Baahubali The Epic Day 1 Collection in India

According to early box office reports by Sacnilk, Baahubali The Epic collected ₹10.4 crore on its opening day. This makes it the biggest-ever opening for a re-release in India.

The film has surpassed major re-release performers such as:

  • Vijay’s Ghilli – ~₹4.87 crore
  • Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja – ~₹5.75 crore
  • Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra – ₹2.71 crore
  • Dragon – ₹6.5 crore

Packed theatres and strong advance bookings made it a festive comeback for the beloved epic.

What Is Baahubali The Epic?

Baahubali The Epic is a re-edited, remastered version of the two blockbuster films:

  • Baahubali: The Beginning (2015)
  • Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017)

Key highlights:

  • Runtime: Approx. 3 hours 45 minutes
  • Advanced sound and visual upgrades: Dolby Atmos, IMAX upscaling
  • Enhanced editing for a seamless cinematic narrative

The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia, and retells the glorious story of Mahishmati and the rise of Amarendra Baahubali.

Massive Worldwide Re-Release

The film has not just conquered India but also returned to the global stage with a grand release in:

  • 400+ screens in the US
  • 210+ screens across the UK & Ireland
  • Multiple locations in the UAE, Australia, and Southeast Asia

Audiences worldwide have praised the updated version for retaining its emotional impact while elevating the visual grandeur.

Fan Reactions: “Edited, Elevated, Emotional”

Social media is buzzing with excitement:

  • “225 minutes of pure euphoria”
  • “History reborn on the big screen”
  • “Rajamouli proves why Baahubali is unmatched”

Fans especially loved M.M. Keeravani’s timeless score, VFX enhancements, and Prabhas’ powerful screen presence.

Baahubali Franchise Continues to Grow

During launch screenings, producer Shobu Yarlagadda unveiled a new addition to the Baahubali universe — Baahubali: The Eternal War, a ₹120 crore 3D animated film expanding the franchise’s lore.

This upcoming film is not Baahubali 3, but a standalone story set in the same epic world.

Verdict

Even after a decade, Baahubali continues to rule Indian cinema. With a record-breaking Day 1 and soaring demand, Baahubali The Epic reaffirms why the franchise remains a cultural and box office powerhouse.
