Method

Prepare the Matcha:
In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder and hot water (not boiling, about 80°C/176°F) until the powder is fully dissolved and slightly frothy. Use a bamboo whisk for best results or a small regular whisk.

Sweeten the Latte:
Add honey or simple syrup to the matcha mixture, stirring until it blends smoothly.

Assemble the Drink:
Fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour the sweetened matcha mixture over the ice.

Add the Milk:
Slowly pour the cold milk over the matcha and ice, creating beautiful layers of green matcha and white milk. For a more velvety texture, you can froth the milk slightly before pouring it in.

Finish & Garnish:
