Brother and sister bond with wristband ceremony generated by artificial intelligence
Raksha Bandhan 2023: Raksha Bandhan is a well-known Hindu festival which honours the bond that exists between brothers and sisters. On this wonderful day, sisters tie a Rakhi around their brothers’ wrists to protect them and as a loving gesture to pray for his long life. In exchange, brothers offer their sisters presents and swear to protect them at all costs. This festival is observed throughout the month of Shravan on the full moon day or Purnima.
This year the festival will be celebrated on August 30 in 2023. It is said that the Raksha Bandhan ceremony should not be performed during Bhadra because it is evil and no auspicious work should be performed.
The Raksha Bandhan celebration encompasses numerous customs. During this occasion, the sister conducts her brother’s aarti and offers prayers for his well-being. Subsequently, she ties a Rakhi around his wrist, applies a tilak on his forehead, and shares sweets with him. Brothers reciprocate their love by presenting their sisters with gifts or money.
As per Drik Panchang, the conventional practice designates the afternoon as the most propitious period for observing Raksha Bandhan. Nevertheless, if this timing clashes with Bhadra, the rituals are postponed until after its conclusion.
Various state governments have introduced initiatives to enable women to enjoy Raksha Bandhan festivities.
Different state governments have announced schemes for women to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Thursday that he will organise a special program to have a dialogue with women and distribute gifts to them on August 27 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
A day before him, Haryana Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma said that the state roadways buses will offer free travel facility to women on the day of the festival.
