TAT Honors Durga Puja with a Unique Blend of Coastal Indian and Bengali Delicacies

In celebration of Durga Puja, TAT based in Vikhroli is renowned for its dedication to coastal Indian cuisine, is delighted to present a specially curated Durga Puja Thali from the 9th to 12th of October. This meticulously crafted offering showcases the essence of traditional Bengali gastronomy, inviting guests to experience the profound flavors and cultural richness of the festive season.

For those who prefer vegetarian delicacies, the thali presents a harmonious array of dishes, beginning with the timeless pairing of Luchi with Cholar Dal, where delicate Bengal-style poories are served alongside mildly sweet gram curry. This is complemented by the crisp and flavorful Begun Bhaja (fried eggplant slices) and the traditional Labra, a dish of mixed vegetables infused with the distinctive Bengali five-spice blend.

The culinary journey continues with Steamed Rice paired with Kolai Dal, a hearty urad dal preparation. Aloo Posto, with its potatoes delicately enveloped in poppy seed paste, offers a signature taste of Bengal, while Aloo Phoolkopir Dalna—a potato and cauliflower curry—brings a rich, aromatic flavor. A fragrant Bengali Pulao accompanies the comforting Dhokar Dalna, lentil cakes cooked in a vibrant tomato gravy, and the meal concludes with a sweet flourish, featuring Tomato Khejur Chutney and an indulgent selection of Payesh, Rosogolla, Sandesh, and Mishti Doi.

For non-vegetarian connoisseurs, TAT offers a splendid feast starting with the familiar combination of Luchi with Cholar Dal and Begun Bhaja, enhanced by the addition of a delectable Macher Chop (fish cutlet). The coastal theme is brought to life with Chingri Diye Pui Shaak Chorchori, where prawns and seasonal vegetables are cooked with Malabar spinach, and the bold flavors of Shorshe Maach, fish prepared in a mustard gravy, highlight the signature flavors of the region.

The thali is accompanied by Steamed Rice and Aloo Phoolkopir Dalna, and guests are invited to choose between the iconic Kosha Mangsho (a rich and spicy mutton curry) or Murgir Jhol (a more delicate chicken curry). Completing the feast is the fragrant Bengali Pulao and the sweet-tangy Tomato Khejur Chutney, followed by a selection of quintessential Bengali desserts, including Payesh, Rosogolla, Sandesh, and Mishti Doi.

TAT cordially invites all to partake in this celebration of Durga Puja through a gastronomic experience that honors the rich heritage of Bengal while reflecting the unique coastal flavors that the restaurant is known for. This special Durga Puja Thali is a tribute to both tradition and innovation, offering diners an authentic taste of festive joy.

Reserve your place to experience a culinary journey that harmonizes tradition with elegance, bringing the flavors of the coast to the heart of the festival.
