Budget 2024: Hours after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her seventh consecutive budget, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation, highlighting the transformative aspects of Budget 2024. He emphasized that this budget is designed to empower the neo-middle class, the poor, villages, and farmers, bringing forth a wave of opportunities for the youth.
“In the last 10 years, 25 crore people have come out of poverty. This budget is for the empowerment of the new middle class,” stated Prime Minister Modi. He assured that the budget will provide unlimited opportunities for the youth, enhancing education and skills.
Empowering the Neo-Middle Class:
“This budget will give power to the new middle class. It is crafted to support women, small businesses, and MSMEs,” PM Modi said. He stressed that the measures introduced will significantly uplift these sectors.
Employment Linked Incentive Scheme:
A major highlight is the introduction of the ‘Employment Linked Incentive Scheme.’ Under this scheme, the government will provide the first salary to new entrants in the workforce. “Youth from villages will be able to work in the country’s top companies under the apprenticeship program,” PM Modi added.
Education and Skill Development:
“Education and skill development will reach new heights with this budget,” said the Prime Minister. He underscored that the budget will offer substantial support to education and skill development initiatives, creating a robust framework for the future workforce.
