Hammer & Song Brings Back Jazz & Art Nights at Cuffe Parade

Hammer & Song, the distinguished taproom and cocktail bar located in Cuffe Parade at the World Trade Centre, proudly announces the launch of Jazz Nights – an innovative blend of live jazz music and urban contemporary art. This unique event, scheduled to occur every fortnight on a Wednesday, is set to redefine mid-week entertainment in South Mumbai. The inaugural Jazz Night took place on 14th August, promising an evening of exquisite melodies and captivating visuals.

The event will be curated by the renowned saxophonist Ryan Sadri, also known as RynoSax. With over two decades of international and domestic performances, Ryan Sadri is a leading figure in the jazz scene. His illustrious career includes performances at prestigious events such as the Commonwealth Games in Australia, London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, and the WOMAD Festival in Spain. Ryan’s versatility spans across various genres and collaborations, making him the ideal curator for Jazz Nights at Hammer & Song.

Complementing the musical extravaganza will be an exhibit curated by Gallery XXL. Known for bringing the urban contemporary art movement to the forefront, Gallery XXL engages with both Indian and international artists who are redefining urban art techniques and showcasing it at one of the only art galleries located in Cuffe Parade.

Adding an extra touch to the night, servers will be dressed in vintage-inspired attire, enhancing the overall ambiance and making the experience even more immersive for the attendees. The combination of live jazz and urban contemporary art promises an evening that is both engaging and intimate, offering a unique mid-week escape.

“Hammer & Song is the perfect venue for this event,” says Ayush, the founder of Hammer & Song. “I absolutely love the concept of live jazz – it’s engaging, it’s intimate, and it sets the mood right for a relaxed mid-week night out. With the support of Ryan (aka RynoSax), I aim to revive the jazz scene in South Mumbai, this time featuring amazing artworks from Gallery XXL.” Hammer & Song invites all jazz enthusiasts and art lovers to join this extraordinary event and indulge in an evening of musical and visual delight. Mark your calendars for 14th August and be part of a night where music meets art in the heart of South Mumbai.
