ISRO Youth Scientist Program 2024: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced that the registration process for the ‘Youth Scientist Program’ for school children will commence from February 20th. In efforts to “make them youthful” and inspire a large number of students towards careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, ISRO has initiated an educational endeavor.
The aim of this initiative is to foster fundamental knowledge and awareness among youth about emerging trends in space technology, space science, and space applications. The deadline to submit applications is March 20th.
In a post on ‘X’, the space agency declared: “Youth Scientist Program (Yuvika) – 2024 is now open for nominations. Students of class 9 studying in India (as of January 1, 2024) are eligible for this program. Apply now. Registration will start from February 20, 2024, at jigyasa.iirs.gov.in/yuvika.”
The agency clarifies, “The objective of this initiative is to encourage more students to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields and to engage in research.”

ISRO Yuvika 2024: Steps for Registration
- Register on the ISRO Jigyasa platform at jigyasa.iirs.gov.in/registration.
- Upon successful registration on the above website, confirm your email by clicking on the verification link sent to your registered email ID.
- Participate in the Space Quiz, ensuring to review the quiz instructions carefully before taking the quiz.
- Complete your personal profile and provide details of your education.
- Students must get photocopies of their certificates verified by the principal/school head, who should sign the certificates for verification purposes.
- Scanned copies of verified certificates must be uploaded on the website.
- Both the photocopies of verified certificates and the verification certificates must be uploaded on the website.
- Prepare your verification certificate, which should be endorsed by your principal/school head/parent/guardian.
- Scan and upload your documents, and then submit your application.
In case of any discrepancy between the attached certificates and the verification provided by the student, the candidature of the student will be canceled.
